lmao i HIGHLY DOUBT u mentioned yr period + someone said thats cissexist
more than fucking likely u equated having a period 2 being a woman or having a vagina 2 being a woman which
u even did it in this post
like idk good job proving the point
Females should be allowed to discuss women [with vaginas, who have periods] without always having to be considerate of males who are transitioning to womanhood. Females should be allowed space to discuss female-related issues—and issues related to being raised to be a woman, or issues related to female socialization—without having to accommodate [trans] women who were most likely socialized to be men. The issues trans women and females socialized to be women face intersect in some areas, but are not exactly the same. The oppression trans women and females socialized to be women face intersect in some areas, but are not exactly the same. Having a vagina and having a period can be justly equated to being a woman; the fact that some women have penises does not mean that a penis should suddenly be equated with womanhood. I’m not sure if that last sentences makes sense in the way I want it to, but I can’t figure out how to reword it. Tl;dr: Females should be [and are] allowed to discuss womanhood in terms of female issues without having to derail that discussion unnecessarily to accommodate someone’s penis.
Edit: This post doesn’t discuss trans men or female non-binary people because they’re female, and because they should also have a space to discuss their bodies. The point still stands that a discussion shouldn’t be interrupted to state that not all women have x, or to ask about trans men.
